Friends Shopping in Georgetown at Just Paper and Tea

10+ Stylish Georgetown Shops for the Fashion-Obsessed

From supremely sleek pantsuits to stunning pumps, these Georgetown favorites will keep you stylish from head to toe.

Georgetown may be DC’s oldest neighborhood, but its shopping scene has the trendiest of-the-moment fashions around. We’ve gathered up the must-stop shops for your day wandering through cobblestone streets and stylish stores.

01

Tuckernuck

Have you ever wished you could channel the timeless style of American icons like Jackie Kennedy? We recommend visiting DC-based brand Tuckernuck to find a modern equivalent. An effortless blend of elegant and preppy, Tuckernuck was founded to reflect a love of "color, stripes, nostalgia and bucket lists." The wildly popular online boutique opened its flagship "classic American cool shop" in Georgetown, bringing Nantucket vibes to the District.

02

SCOUT Bags

Locally-founded and nationally-popular brand SCOUT Bags seeks to occupy the intersection between fashion and utility. The brand creates bags and accessories with five key objectives: pattern, function, durability, affordability and fun. Stop in to explore seasonal and specialty designs, including a number of patterns that pay homage to DC.

03

SKIMS

Even if Keeping Up with the Kardashians isn't your thing, it's hard to overlook Kim Kardashian's success as a brand entrepreneur – especially when you visit Georgetown, the home of the first brick-and-mortar store of her popular shapewear and clothing brand SKIMS. The storefront on M Street overflows with customers attracted by not just the star power and the quality but the founding principle: products made for every body type.

04

Sézane

If Francophiles needed another reason to visit Georgetown, now they have it: French brand Sézane brings vintage and classic clothing to its yellow-and-white-striped storefront on Wisconsin Avenue. The popular brand has only a handful pf US locations, so when the DC pop-up opened its doors, lines extended down the block.

05

Everard's Clothing

A well-dressed man and woman smile together in a tailored clothing store, surrounded by racks of colorful suits and neatly folded shirts, showcasing a stylish and welcoming atmosphere.

Sourcing brands and pieces from across the world, family-owned Everard's has been attracting loyal Georgetown shoppers with an eye for sophisticated fashion since 1999. The shop prides itself on its client-first approach and its personally sourced items – plus, tailoring and alterations are also available onsite.

06

Reformation

One brand leading the industry when it comes to sustainability is Reformation. Not only has the US-based company offset 100% of carbon emissions, water and waste since 2015, it is actively working to make sustainable fashion accessible. Reformation stores, including their Georgetown location, offer a number of initiatives to help customers go green. For instance, stores will buy back your old Ref items and provide basic alterations or repairs for free with your purchase.

07

rag & bone

A fashion favorite for its effortlessly cool and sharp tailoring, this designer boutique offers the brand’s signature modern edge. You'll find the men's and women's collections in different buildings but separated by only one store.

08

Lili The First

Looking for something rare? Find your next statement piece at this multi-brand boutique, which features an eclectic range of looks sourced from small and independent designers from around the world.

09

relish

Discerning fashionistas with an eye for minimalist structure and architectural design head to this airy shop in charming Cady’s Alley for top-level labels such as Dries Van Noten, Marni and Marc Jacobs.

10

Buck Mason

The LA-based menswear boutique Buck Mason was founded in 2013 by Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen Ford. Their brand makes fashion less complicated – each design a riff on an iconic American staple. The store carries tees (worn by the likes of Tom Brady), jeans, Henleys, shirt jackets, sweaters, sweats and outerwear.

11

Madewell

Like J.Crew’s younger, hipper sister, this brand’s two-story store deals in perfectly slouchy tees, on-trend denim and cool-girl accessories. Be sure to bring in your old denim to be recycled – you'll get store credit.

12

Club Monaco

This Canadian chain’s fashion cache skyrocketed thanks to its sophisticated take on "better basics" – sleek and crafted from luxe materials.

After you pick up some trendy threads in Georgetown, head east to peruse storefronts in Dupont Circle.
