Ikebana at Love, Makoto

Love, Makoto—a Japanese culinary collection in the heart of downtown DC, hosts a hands-on Japanese flower-arranging class with local ikebana instructor Yuko Wain on Saturday, April 12. Participants will:

• Learn the art of Japanese flower arranging from an ikebana instructor


• Create a beautiful arrangement to take home


• Sip cocktails from the cherry blossom pop-up bar menu at Hiya Izakaya


• Tickets include: Instruction, materials, take-home arrangement, a cocktail

Please arrive at Love, Makoto's Hiya Izakaya bar at noon for your welcome cocktail and an opportunity to order lunch before the class begins. Food can be ordered from our fast-casual restaurant, Love on the Run, and is best eaten before the class; cocktails will be available from the Dear Sushi bar throughout the class. Hiya Izakaya will be decorated with a flurry of cherry blossoms and festive decor to celebrate the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
