Dear Members,

As we welcome visitors back to the city at full capacity beginning tomorrow, June 11, I remain optimistic for DC’s businesses and our ability to inspire future visitation. Soon we will debut our new recovery advertising campaign in partnership with Events DC, themed “Experience DC.” We collaborated with local agency January Third on the creative and have targeted potential leisure visitors locally, regionally and nationally with our media buying agency of record, MMGY Global.

 

The campaign will highlight what makes DC a special place for a summer vacation, including its Michelin-starred dining scene, eclectic neighborhoods, arts and culture, shopping, nightlife and much more. Look for an in-depth introduction via email next week.

 

Potential visitors can continue their journey on washington.org, where we have summer covered in full, including major events including Capital Pride and Independence Day, what’s open in the city, an array of free things to do, outdoor dining, on-the-water fun and the latest health precautions.
